How to?
HOW ARE THEY USED?
Wrap a sandwich, cheese, produce, or cover a bowl. Use the warmth of your hands to form the wrap over the top of a bowl, half a lemon, or a piece of cheese. The wrap will hold its shape when it cools, creating a seal. Not recommended for use with raw meat.
WHAT ARE THEY MADE OF?
Baluchon’s beeswax wraps are handmade with natural ingredients, and love. All our wraps are 100% cotton, waxed with organic food grade beeswax & pine gum resin. They are designed to obtain a malleable food wrap that can be used again and again. As they are handmade, they will vary in size and colour between batches, please stay open :)
HOW DO I CARE FOR THEM?
Avoid sources of heat, such as hot water, ovens and microwaves. Wash it in cool water with a gentle dish soap on a soft sponge. Air dry, fold and store flat or rolled for a longer shelf life. Beeswax will naturally be stickier when hotter and more rigid when cold.
HOW LONG DO WRAPS LAST?
Wraps can last a few months before re-waxing is needed. To re-fresh them when they get wrinkly, place them on a flat baking tray on a sheet of baking paper and heat in the oven (max. 80 degrees Celsius) to melt ingredients again. Or place between two sheets of baking paper and iron.
